Brian Marrinan is the Managing Partner of Journey Partners, a firm which works with airlines, airports and aviation leasing companies around the world to build the aviation, aerospace and travel technology ecosystem internationally. He is currently actively building innovation labs with one of the world’s leading aviation leasing firms, as well as building an ecosystem of aviation innovation in South America in association with a leading airline there.
Brian is “Co-Pilot” of Propeller Shannon, an early stage aviation and travel tech startup accelerator based at Shannon Airport in Ireland. The accelerator is backed by leading players in the international aviation and travel space, including the first ever such investment by Boeing, the leading aviation ecommerce company Datalex, the aviation regulator, the Irish Aviation Authority, and Enterprise Ireland. Propeller’s first cohort saw eight startups receive investment and training, and the programme is now seeking participants for the second cohort in the coming months.
With qualifications in business information systems and psychology, Brian also has an MBA from Smurfit Business School. He has a background in finance, consulting and education in the US and Europe. He was involved in the setup of the first public accelerator in Ireland, and now focuses on creating pathways for organisations to innovate through their people.
