Interim Provost, Masdar Institute of Science and Technology, member of the Board of Trustees for UAE Space Agency to develop the national strategy for space exploration and capacity building and on the Board of Directors for Catalyst.
Her career spans over 27 years of experience in higher education in the UAE. She is involved with the Zayed Future Energy Prize, where she chairs the selection committee that works to recognize and reward sustainable energy innovators. Dr. AlYousuf was selected for the advisory council of the Women in Sustainability, Environment and Renewable Energy (WiSER), an initiative founded by Masdar and the Zayed Future Energy Prized (ZFEP) to empower and inspire women to be catalysts of innovation and the drivers of commercial solutions.
Dr. AlYousef has also been an inspiration for women in the UAE and across the MENA region. She has received Arab Women Award for her role in Education reform and was recognized as one of the 20 most influential women in the UAE; received the UAE businesswomen award for Career Achievement and the UAE Sheikh Rashid Award for Scientific Achievement.
Dr. AlYousuf also has a track-record of presenting ground-breaking research to international professional bodies, including delivery of multiple publications on subjects ranging from education, entrepreneurship and technology and presentation of key papers at prestigious regional and international events. Dr. AlYousuf has held leadership roles in key domestic and international forums and is a member of various international organizations and academic committees.
Dr. AlYousuf earned her doctorate in Software Engineering from Reading University in the UK, an MSc in Computer Science from Cardiff University, UK, and a BSc in Computer Engineering from University of North Carolina in Charlotte, USA.
